Our Philosophy!
The way of doing business continues to change and convergence is being created between voice and data on a daily basis. With the advancement of networking & telecommunications, STT is taking steps to keep up with this new "Information Age". With the convergence of data and voice, STT will remain in the forefront to support it's current client base and to attract up-and-coming businesses who see the value of data/voice convergence. STT sees the need to stay in tuned with these changes and will reflect the change in how we see ourselves. We will now be referred to as STT iowa.com to reflect its commitment to assisting the way people conduct business and industry in Iowa and surrounding states. |
Our Team
Over the past 25 years we have seen many changes in technology. If we were to hang our hat solely on traditional business telephone systems, we would be sitting here waiting for the phones to ring.
We make it our mission to keep up with technology as much as anyone can, and have found that the traditional business telephone, while meeting the needs of smaller businesses, is not what the new medium to large market is looking for. STT has teamed up with Zulty's, an new and inovative multimedia that combines the functions of an IP PBX, Internet gateway, network server and application server. This is exciting for us and for our customers to be able to afford a rich IP PBX without breaking the bank!
In these tight times, many businesses are having to justify positions within their companies. We are here to listen and help. STT offers IT managed services, network design and service. STT becomes your IT department without having to pay out the wages & taxes. Along with the managed services, STT will install and maintain an IP Surveillance Camera system to oversee your business.
Over the last 25 years - STT has developed business relationships with technology companies across the country, coordinating national account installations, sharing the latest technology strategies.

Credentials: 4 Year US Navy Veteran (72-76 Viet Nam era) in Radio & Teletype Communications. Started in Telecom Industry in 1979 with Central Telephone in Denison, IA. Promoted to Customer Service Manager in Iowa West and later promoted and transferred to Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. as Contracts / Projects Manger. Responsible for all Twin City region telephone system installation. Honeywell, Midway Hospital-St. Paul, Cargill, Fingerhut Corp. are a few of the projects Mike was responsible for. Returned to Iowa in January 1984 and founded STT - Scott Telephone & Telecom, Inc. |

Gennifer was a Visual Merchandising Manager for JCPenney in Washington, D.C. for 8 years and for AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service) for 5 years. She also worked as a customer service representative and was an Operations Manager for a Military Clothing Sales store. She has two children one in Emmetsburg, Ia and one in Irvine, Ca. and is a Proud Grandma of two beautiful girls and two boys. She works in Sales & Accounting
Credentials: Gennifer has her Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Lakes Community College, along with many courses she has taken including the AAFES EDP management, JCPenney Management Training, Customer Service & Sales Courses, along with Toshiba Customer Service Training and basic telephony courses. |

Jen is the Help Desk Coordinator. She is in charge of all Ordering, heads up Customer Service, and is responsible for keeping everyone at STT on the "Straight & Narrow!" Not much will get past her!
Jen and her husband, Derek, moved from the Spirit Lake area where she worked in Advertising and Sales. They have two sons Gavin and Garret.
Credentials: Jen graduated from Southwestern Technical College, Pipestone, MN. with a degree in Office Management.

Seth, AKA, Sethery, is our resident "Wiz Kid" and local "Mr. Gadget". Seth is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all STT customer equipment.
Credentials: Graduate of Jackson (Minnesota) Vo-Tech in Telecommunications. Seth is certified through Toshiba on CTX, Voice Mail, ACD and Zultys on IP telephony along with many other areas of telecommunications. |

 We regret to say that Molly is now with her Maker, she passed away in June 2009. Molly will be missed by all who visited our office. She was our Official Greeter!
